The Weekend

Idaho Family Camp is a long weekend typically from Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. It is a weekend that draws together the treasures of Faith and Family, through prayer, formation and fun-filled activities.

Each day begins with Mass and then opens up to a day of faith-filled, family-friendly activities. After Mass the family might spend the morning in age-specific activities all geared to teach and strengthen and help the family members to share the Faith. Throughout the afternoons and into the evenings, families will enjoy activities such as a bonfire, sing-alongs, family Rosary, family games, action-packed sporting tournaments (including softball, basketball, and volleyball), swimming and arts-n-crafts; as available at the specific camp facility.

To encourage families to “fall into God’s grace” there may be opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation, and family prayer time. In the spirit of Pope John Paul II, these graces and love through the Holy Family will envelop each family to become a “family for others”.

The spirit of joy, song, praise, love, and friendship abounds!  The Camp will honor and praise Almighty God, from Whom all blessings flow, and to rest and recreate as loving friends of Jesus. The hope of the Camp is for families to experience friendship with the other families, so together they can help build God’s Kingdom.
